Musician from Montreal, David Senecal is a music composer, sound designer and audio engineer based in Montréal, Canada. Graduating from Berklee College of Music in the Electronic Production and Sound Design major in 2019, David is a classically trained pianist who now composes in a plethora of genres and styles. In the past 3 years, David has written with music houses and studios like Studio BULLDOG (Qc) and BUTTER Music and Sound (NYC) for brands like Aveeno, HELIX (Videotron), One Love, Lifefuels, Mercedes-Benz, Narra and more. He also scored for national TV shows (Passer le mot - Tele-Quebec) and documentaries (Qui se Souvient de René Lévesque, Denis Côté: Suivre son Instinct - Radio-Canada). In the former year, David created music and sound design for more than 30 audio books and mixed several tv shows like Connection Sauvage (TV5) and Les Crinqués (Évasion).

As a sound designer, David pushes the limits of the imagination using several audio synthesis and audio processing techniques in alternative ways as well as creating performance tools to maximize interactivity with the musical and visual medium. Since the age of 15, inspirations from the modern, post-modern and contemporary era influenced his classical composition work as he was introducing himself to pop music. David is now also a songwriter and has built a wide collection of original songs. His work has now expanded to performances and scoring for multidisciplinary artists including dancers, performing artists and actors. The idea of expanding music outside the box is part of David’s vision.
